HOW WE GIVE BACK:

• Mentorship programs designed to nurture the next generation of barbers and stylists. Experienced professionals provide guidance, hands-on training, and career advice to young barbers, students, and at-risk youth, offering them the chance to explore a career in the barbering industry.

• One-on-one mentorship opportunities allow new barbers to shadow seasoned professionals, learning essential skills, client management, and business strategies to succeed in the industry.

• Workshops and seminars hosted by PSBA provide ongoing education, career development, and business acumen to empower all members.

• Community outreach through free haircuts for those in need.

• Support for at-risk youth, offering career opportunities not only in barbering but through a network of businesses, providing job placement and training in other fields such as plumbing, truck driving, and other skilled trades.

SCHOOL MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS:

• Member schools can participate in the statewide Graduation Ceremony in July.

• Member schools are eligible for the Battle of the Schools Competition in March and the Student Competition during the PSBA Annual Convention in July.

• Students receive discounted rates for PSBA events and conventions.

• Member schools can participate in PSBA State Meetings.

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS:

To become a member of the Palmetto State Barbers Association:

• You must be a Registered Barber, Licensed Cosmetologist, Barber/Cosmetology School, Nail Tech, Esthetician, or a Student with a Permit in barbering or the beauty industry.

• A $50.00 membership fee is required.

• Annual renewal requires payment of a $50.00 fee along with dues to your local chapter.
